1. Data we do not collect
CutCut Golf does not require you to create or sign in to a CutCut account. The current release does not collect or transmit the following data to the developer:
- Source videos, video frames, audio, thumbnails, or finished videos;
- File names, file paths, swing timestamps, clip-review decisions, or analysis features;
- Your name, email address, phone number, contacts, location, or Apple Account;
- Advertising identifiers, device fingerprints, cross-app tracking data, or remote product-analytics events.
The app contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or CutCut-operated data-upload service.
2. Videos, photos, and files
CutCut Golf reads a video only after you select it through Apple's system photo picker or file picker. Audio-based candidate detection, clip review, trimming, preview, and final rendering use Apple system frameworks and run on the device.
When you choose Save to Photos, the app requests permission to add the finished video to your photo library. When you choose Share, the app presents the iOS share sheet. Only the app or service you select receives the finished video, and that destination's own privacy policy applies.
3. On-device state
To preserve editing continuity, free-use limits, and purchase access, CutCut Golf may store the following information locally on your device:
- The active project draft, clip decisions, and a local reference to the latest finished video;
- Temporary imported, analysis, and export files;
- The number of finished videos successfully saved or shared under the free allowance;
- A lifetime-unlock entitlement verified by Apple StoreKit.
This information remains in the app sandbox, cache directories, or device Keychain and is not uploaded to the developer. A device-only secure record is used to reduce repeated reinstall attempts to reset the free allowance.
4. Retention and deletion
Obsolete temporary files are removed when a project is replaced, during later app sessions, or when iOS purges cached data. You can delete finished videos from Photos and uninstall the app to remove most data stored in its sandbox. To protect the free-use limit from repeated resets, a record stored in the device Keychain may remain after uninstalling the app until iOS clears it or the device is erased.
Because CutCut Golf has no CutCut account system or remote user database, the developer cannot remotely view, export, or delete data stored on your device. If you need help with local data, contact us through the support page, but do not send private videos or sensitive information.
5. Purchases and network access
Core video editing and analysis can run offline. Buying or restoring the lifetime unlock contacts Apple's App Store through StoreKit. Apple processes payment details and the Apple Account. CutCut Golf does not receive payment-card details, Apple Account passwords, or complete transaction credentials; the app only verifies the entitlement returned by Apple.
If a selected video is stored in iCloud or with a third-party file provider and is not already downloaded, iOS may use the network to retrieve it. An app or service selected from the iOS share sheet may also use the network according to its own privacy policy.
Opening this privacy policy or the support page makes a browser request to GitHub Pages. GitHub's handling of that request is governed by the GitHub General Privacy Statement.
6. Tracking, advertising, and children's privacy
CutCut Golf does not use IDFA, perform cross-app tracking, or display personalized advertising, and it does not knowingly collect children's personal information. If the app's data practices materially change, this policy and the App Store privacy disclosure will be updated, and consent will be requested where required.
7. Policy updates
This policy may be updated as the app changes or legal requirements evolve. The effective date at the top identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated in the app or on its App Store product page when appropriate.
